I was at a friends house the other day and she put basil in her fruit smoothie. I love basil and had an extra bunch in the fridge so I thought I'd give it a try with mango.
1 bunch of Fresh basil (stem and leaves - about 1/2 cup chopped)
2 Romaine leaves
2 ripe mangoes
1 glass of water (~12 oz)
If you like basil this is super yummy!

I love experimenting!
Thank you for reminding me that I used to make Basil Banana Smoothies.
I don't have measurements for this, but I'm thinking I used about 4 bananas (knowing me!) and probably 1/2 cup of basil (or to taste) and then water for desired consistency.
It's surprisingly refreshing and wonderful. My toddler boy loved it too.

Wow....I can't wait to try this one. Last year I grew probably 10 basil plants and gave away a heap of it and made a lot of pesto that I froze for through the year, but I imagine a smoothie with it in will be wonderful! :)
