The Live Food Factor
« on: June 04, 2009, 10:03:08 PM »
This book has been getting quite a bit of attention in the raw food circles. I had a chance to page through it and am pretty impressed. I've ordered mine and can't wait to read it. Has anyone read this yet?

i did not find it an 'easy read'... I have heard great things about it..but once again, when i got it..it was more an argument as to why Raw foods are the Ultimate foods and the best ones for us to consume...well, gosh, most of us know that already !!!!

But i think maybe for people in the limelight, (or  rather who are really active in promoting living foods, or who have lots of people asking them about why raw foods are the best for us, and who need a reference book,) this would be good.

well, i wanted to make sure my analysis was accurate so i (better late than never, sorry) went to my bookshelf and pulled the book off.

i opened it up and refreshed myself..

It is NOT a difficult read..it is conveniently divided into paragraphs and short stories and articles.. There IS a LOT of very interesting material in the book.

once again, i would say, however, that it has many many many arguments PRO RAW food diet..
and is really a good handbook in defense of it ( should we need to defend ourselves ) and also to promote it.

I have tried to promote the raw food diet with everyone i meet , and most of them think i am crazy..so now i am just concentrating on achieving OPTIMUM healh.

which, once again, is why i joined this site.

i am hoping to find some details..and have posted some questions i have.

thanks and hope this helps people who want to review the book..It IS a GOOD BOOK.And there are lots of stories and scientific studies about how raw food diet has helped countless thousands of people.

The book recounts countless people who are raw who are doing very well, thank you..like Steve Jobs, who created the Macintosh..THAT IS ONE COOL BIT OF INFORMATION AS FAR AS I AM CONCERNED.
I THINK MACS ( i have one and would use no other) are a stroke of GENIUS.!

Victoria Boutenko even did an experiment where she had students go raw for a few days and, according to what is written, their IQ is said to have gone up.

go figure?

This is a FANTASTIC book!

I highly recommend it for anyone even remotely interested in good health and nutrition, especially if you like research and proof to back up claims that you are not familiar with. There is no need to be a raw foodist to get value out of this great resource.

I just learned that there is a 2nd edition to this book via the link above. I'm ordering it and am looking forward to reading it.
