I am a mother of three young boys (5 1/2, 4, and 9 months). I am often at a loss of what to eat at mealtime--sometimes nothing quite appeals to me, and I do well with drinking things. I thought I'd try green smoothies as a way of getting a meal in a cup, and it has made a remarkable difference in the month or so I have embarked on this journey. I have not had or wanted caffeine, I have a lot more energy, and I don't feel at all like I am on a 'diet'.
I had a couple of weeks of using my standard blender before I went ahead and got the Vita-Mix, which I adore! I sooo look forward to making my smoothies in the morning, and now I am making two batches because my husband and kids drink most of the first one! I am even spooning some into my littlest one's breakfasts.
Both my mother and my sister-in-law have bought Vita-Mixes after seeing how much I am loving living in green smoothie land.
