New here and looking for ideas
« on: October 08, 2011, 07:47:26 AM »
Hi everyone,
I just found this website/forum and am getting so many good ideas that I thought I'd join in.

I suffer from a severe TMJ problem with my jaw which means I have no cartilage protecting my jaw and I can't chew anything so getting green veggies into my diet is difficult and I'm coming around to the idea I may have to make green smoothies. I definitely need ideas of how to do this because my attempts at it didn't go too well haha. I couldn't drink the stuff!

Anyway, thanks for having me here :)

Welcome CCowgirl!

If you are finding it difficult to drink your green smoothies start with making them with only a little bit of greens. Too much greens in your smoothie can be a flavor turn off if you are not used to eating greens. Spinach is the best green to start with as it has the mildest flavor. As you get more used to the flavor start adding more.

Be sure to check out the green smoothie section of the site as well as smoothie recipes in the forum.

All the best to you on your journey!
