This green smoothie was an incredible hit with my son. He couldn’t stop thanking me for it and asking “what’s in it”. When I asked him if I should share it he said “it’s too yummy to share”.
We don’t consume milk or Soy products but love giving our boy the benefits of probiotics through yogurt so he occasionally eats So Delicious Coconut Milk Yogurt which is a Vegan, Gluten- and Soy-Free product.
If your child is not yet drinking green smoothies but does eat yogurt, this is an excellent way to get them started on eating their greens regularly.
Here is the green smoothie recipe for what I put together for him today:
– 1 6oz cup of So Delicious Blueberry yogurt
– 1/2 frozen banana
– 1 teaspoon chia seed
– 1 small kale leaf
– 1/2 chard leaf
– 1/4 cup water
Blend in the vitamix til smooth and serve. Makes one serving ~10oz
This is the first time I made a green smoothie with the SO yogurt. It comes in several flavors so I’m sure we’ll be doing more green smoothies with them.
