Pesticide Residue on my food

The best source to get your food is to grow your own and know how it's grown. The second best source is from a local farm/CSA that you can get to know how they grow the food. Then the third option is to buy Organic (preferably from local or at least in country sources).

But there are times you don't have any of these options, or you are in the store and the organic cucumber is $4.99 while it's commercially grown counter part is only $0.49.

Here is a list of foods to avoid if you can't follow the 3 suggestions above (home-grown, familiar local grown, organic) as they are known to be foods with the highest amount of pesticide:

- Peaches/Nectarines
- Apples
- Bell Peppers
- Celery
- Strawberries
- Cherries
- Carrots
- Pears
- Kale
- Grapes

Next on the list to use caution:

- Spinach
- Lettuce
- Potatoes
- Green beans
- Hot Peppers
- Cucumbers
- Cantaloupe
- Oranges

There are many paths up the mountain but the view is the same from the top.
