Smoothie Recipes / Re: Green Smoothie WITHOUT bananas?

Yes, you can use mango instead of banana for a lovely smooth and sweet taste.  I much prefer Green Smoothies with mango than banana.  I also use Peach a lot in my Green Smoothie Recipes as they give them a lovely creamy taste too.  Avocado and peach are lovely.  Oats also make a smoothie creamy which is why I use them in my Green Thickies.  Lovely and filling too.
Smoothie Recipes / Re: Basic green smoothie - where to start

This is a great green smoothie to start with.  My favorite basic green smoothie is:

2 cups water
1 mango
1 cup spinach

I love quick and easy ingredients as I can't get hold of more unusual ingredients in the UK.  I love these Green Smoothie Recipes as the ingredients are very easy to find.

I also really enjoy making a meal out of my Green Smoothies by turning them into Green Thickies with oats and seeds.

My baby also loves these.

Day one of the green smoothie challenge starts off with a simple single serving smoothie. Making exactly one pint of green smoothie can be challenging but we were successful here.

1/2 ripe banana
1 tsp chia seed
3 wedges fresh frozen peach
5 chunks fresh frozen pineapple
1 collard leaf (stem removed)
1 chard leaf (stem removed)
~1 cups water

When making this smoothie all ingredients were added then water was added to the 2 cup mark on our Vitamix. Sweet - delicious and nutritious!
