Vitamix enters the world of Immersion Blending with a solid, very powerful performer. The first question to come to mind is why. Why would Vitamix, the leading producer of high-performance blenders create a small hand-held blending stick? Well, for us it seems clear – they want to fill that void of small container blending and ultimate versatility. The immersion blender allows consumers to reach those blending areas requiring some performance that a full-size blender just can’t reach, like your hot pot of soup, or your jar of fruit, or your travel mug. Design & Aesthetics
The advantage of an immersion blender is that it can be used wherever you wish as it is a light-weight, hand-held device. The Vitamix immersion blender is not cordless, it comes with a 5-foot cord to allow plenty of room to reach your blending target.
As with many Vitamix products, this hand-held blender has a sleek modern metal/gray-scale design with stainless steel finish and comfortable grip. 
The bottom bell that surrounds the blade is designed to reduce suction and increase flow. Also, the unique bell guard is coated to protect your pots, pans, and blending containers from scratches and damage.
Comfortable Easy Control
Vitamix continues to shine with their clean, easy to use interface. With lots of power and five speeds to create your ideal texture with ease, immersion blending has never been so efficient.
The Vitamix immersion blender is truly a one hand operation with all its control literally at your fingertips. Simply two buttons for complete control of blending – one for power and a second button to increment the speed from 1 to 5.
When holding the blender in one hand your finger control the speed which is elegantly indicated clearly in front of you on the top of the handle. An LED light will illuminate for each speed, one through five.
Warranty
While most immersion blenders come with a 90-day, or less warranty, this one from Vitamix includes a 3-year full use warranty. There is no better warranty.

At a typical size of 18 x 3 x 3 inches, the Vitamix immersion blender weighs in at a mere 2.86 pounds total.
Most immersion blenders draw only 200 to 300 watts, one advantage of it not being cordless, the Vitamix immersion blender can deliver serious power with its 625 watt motor, one of the most powerful of all immersion blenders on the market, at any price.
The blending magic happens in the 3-inch bell that contains the blade base and 4-pronged blade. The blade is quite reminiscent of the design you see in the full-size Vitamix blenders. This design allows for superior performance in any 3-inch wide, or wider, container.
It has no problem creaming your hot fresh made soup, making smooth smoothies and even frozen fruit delights.
Bottom Line – IMPRESSIVE
The Vitamix immersion blender stands out among all immersion blenders with its 625 watts alone. Just like with the their industry-leading blenders, Vitamix has created something that stands out mostly because of serious power and performance. Nearly all immersion blenders with power above 600 watts are made for commercial use only and generally cost $800 on up. You will be hard pressed to find any other home use immersion blender that can perform as well as this one – we have yet to use one that can blend frozen fruit so smooth.
What about accessory add-ons? Vitamix has not included any whisks, choppers, graters, slicers, dicers, etc. with the release of their immersion blender. As expected, they have focused on delivering simple, solid performance to get the job done its designed to do without wasted efforts and resources on adding ancillary tasks that are better left for other tools. We view the decision to purchase the Vitamix immersion blender pretty much like all other Vitamix decisions. As long as you are going to use it, you can not go wrong with choosing a Vitamix. The cost is well worth it in the long run as it will perform at the top of its class and is backed by a superior 3-year warranty if you were to have any issues.
