The new Blendtec release has brought more selection, more colors, more packages and a lot more choice. It is our hope that our exclusive new model Blendtec review will help to answer questions and clear up any confusion.
New model naming is based on the power each has – the 560 model has a 1560 watt motor while the 675 has a 1675 watt motor, the Blendtec 725 boasts 1725 watts. See the pattern? Also with the new Blendtec blenders we see the return of reported horsepower. *NOTE: Since the original writing of this review, Blendtec has stopped including the watts in their advertising.
Two New Series & an Original:
The previous Designer Series, Signature Series, and Blendtec Total Blender models have been discontinued and are sold as refurbished only from Blendtec (you may find them from retailers as old stock – be sure to confirm that a retailer is an authorized dealer). Now there are basically 2 different series models, the Blendtec Classic and the Blendtec Designer. The differences between the Classic and Designer is in the motor technology, interface control panel, and housing design.
The Classic Blendtec blenders include the 475
(with limited distribution) built upon the Total Blender base; this model represents the streamlined, most affordable Blendtec blender. The 570
(with limited distribution) and 575
are built upon the discontinued Signature Series base and offer additional features. All Classic Blendtec, ranging in power from 1475 watts to 1575 watts, continue with the soft button controls and interface found in the previous models.
The Blendtec Designer blenders include the 600 (with limited distribution), 625, 675, 725/725C. This new series introduces a more advanced pre-programmed blending technology with more speed and blend cycle options. With power ranging from 1600 watts to 1725 watts we see the power bar continuing to be raised. Built upon the previous Designer Series, these Blendtec blenders retain the hi-tech capacitive touch screen controls with the more stable, quieter base design.
Refurbished Blendtec Total Blender:
The original “classic” model remains available. This is the model that launched Blendtec blenders to the top of competition. While this model has been discontinued, it remains available direct from Blendtec as a discounted Factory Certified Refurbished blender.
In addition to the above new models, we see the introduction of the Professional 800. This model being the most powerful blender offered for the home. In addition, for the first time in a residential model, the Blendtec 800 includes Stealth Technology making it the “world’s quietest blender“.
Blendtec Couture Collection to be released later…

A new entry level 560 Classic model has been simplified with a low cost of $319.95. But the Designers start just a little more than befored.
