If this was your first green challenge that you have experienced, Congratulations! May greens continue to flow into your breakfasts. If this is not your first, Congratulations! Keep on the rad to great health.

Our last week of the challenge held some great traditional green smoothie recipes as well as some new creations.
– try one, try them all and let us know what you think:

Day #15:
Papaya Heaven Green Smoothie Recipe

2 cups Papaya
2 bananas
2 TBS Hemp Seed
2 cups Spinach
1 cup Kale
2 cups water

This blend is truly a treat. Our papaya was a perfection of ripeness and this smoothie was a sweet creamy delight. An excellent choice for a first time green smoothie or anytime. (Well, anytime you can get a hold of some ripe papaya.)

Day #16
Cold Buster Green Juice Recipe

1 lemon
1 apple
3 carrots
1 1/2 inch piece of ginger
3 baby bok-choy leaves
3 celery stalks (with leaves)
1/3 of a fennel bulb
5 stalks of chard (no leaves)
1/2 bunch Italian parsley
2 cups spinach
2 leaves dinosaur kale
1/4 head romaine lettuce

Juice and enjoy! We had some company for breakfast who were coming down with a little bit of sniffles. We whipped this up in their honor. I’m always amazed at the fresh sweet flavor these juices embody. So much good stuff and so tasty.

Day #17:
Pineapple Power Green Smoothie Recipe

1 cup water
1 TBS Chia seed
1/4 cup goji berries
1 banana
1 cup pineapple
4 lacinato (dinosaur) Kale
1 1/2 cup spinach

There are few combinations better than pineapple and banana in a green smoothie. Some super-food additions and you have a nutritional powerhouse in your belly!

Day #18:
Grapefruit Green Smoothie Immune Boost

1 cup water
1 TBS goji berries
1 tsp chia seed
4 kale leaves
1 small chard leaf
1 collard green leaf
4 sprigs parsley
1 ruby red grapefruit (peeled)
1/3 cup cranberries (frozen)

Blend it up and enjoy this incredibly nutritious immune building tonic. There is not much sweetness to it but if you enjoy grapefruit, like I do, it’s a winner! If you want something sweeter use 2 oranges in place of the grapefruit.
