Week 2: 14-Day Green Smoothie Challenge

Hurray for everyone who participated in our April Green Smoothie Challenge! We had many green smoothie newbies join in as well as many old-time green smoothie drinkers. Wonderful things do happen when you drink a green smoothie a day.
This challenge has ended but it does not mean that your green smoothies have to end. Keep them going. If you didn’t participate this round, it is never too late to begin on your own. There is more than two week’s worth of green smoothie recipes to help you on your way. We have already been receiving requests to sponsor another challenge. For us it is a never ending green smoothie challenge so we WILL be doing another one soon.

Amazing Green Smoothies
The second week turned out a whole bunch of wonderful green smoothies. Green Smoothie Recipes ranged from simple to complex. Without specific intention, this past week’s collection has featured refreshing tart and spicy recipes made with citrus and ginger. Cilantro appeared many times in the posted recipes. One of the favorites was a Mango green smoothie with cilantro and lime. The other surprise champ was a simple pineapple ginger and Kale delight! Again the list of nutritional benefits seems never-ending. Lots of Vitamin A, C, K, anti-oxidants, Protein, Calcium, Iron and the list goes on…
Pineapple Ginger Pop Green Smoothie Recipe
1/2 Fresh Pineapple
~ 1 inch Fresh Ginger (peeled)
2 Large Kale leaves (stem removed)
~2 cups water (or to desired consistency)
